Parliament’s Heritage Collections are home to more than 26,000 objects that help to understand the history and tell the story of Parliament.
Parliament’s Heritage Collections contain three distinct collections, the Parliamentary Art Collection, the Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts Collection and the Architectural Fabric Collection.
We were asked by Orangeleaf Systems, the museum software developer of ‘CollectionsBase’, to design a visually engaging website to highlight the history and diversity of the Parliamentary Collections.
The Heritage Collections website sits as part of the UK Parliament online content which is made up of the House of Commons and House of Lords.
The revitalised Heritage Collections website needed to visually align – using the UK Parliament masthead, colour palette and the distinctive ‘National’ font. The wealth of curated objects and stories allowed us to deliver a highly visual, stylised and user-friendly website.
