Royal Association for Deaf People
Website
Founded in 1841, the Royal Association for Deaf People (RAD) is the oldest organisation in England for Deaf adults.
Celebrating deaf culture and community is an essential part of what RAD do. With deaf people, and in collaboration with others, they innovate and deliver services that deaf people want and need.

We carried out a comprehensive audit of the existing website. Engaging key stakeholders from across the organisation, we built an understanding of RAD’s vision and values to help us identify a website structure and design approach that would deliver a clear and intuitive user journey for the deaf community.
Fundamentally the website is simple to use, with a clear and easy navigation across all devices. British Sign Language (BSL) videos are integral to key content across all pages.
We used the primary colour palette created by RAD to define their core services across the website in tandem with a graphical style to define content hierarchy.
