The Railway Benefit Fund has been in existence since 1858. Funded by railway people for railway people, it offers advice, practical and financial support to active and retired employees and their dependants.
The fund can provide cash grants to those in real need and facing financial difficulties due to sickness, family breakdown, bereavement and other problems. In certain circumstances, the fund can offer ongoing financial support.
A changing role
As pressures on railway people become more complex, the Railway Benefit Fund is frequently called upon for advice. The charity offers help with form-filling, guidance on statutory entitlements and, quite simply, a ‘listening ear’ to those in distress. All help is given in the strictest confidence.
No one outside the railway family can fully understand the demands placed upon those working in our industry. It’s why this dedicated charity exists and why, with the goodwill of all of us, it will continue to grow.
If you have a problem that you can’t cope with alone, call the Railway Benefit Fund. We’re here to listen to your problems and to do all in our power to help solve them. |
